Well the holiday madness is over and in its wake comes the glorious lazy days that make up the end of December. As a family we follow the Celtic calendar so our ‘New Year’ celebration coincided with Samhain, but I still maintain a few ingrained rituals such as the yearly ‘Roman Resolutions’ that fall into place on January 1st. This year I am aspiring to take the camera out more with my own crew. Looking back on 2013 and trying to choose the best of, I realise that I have very few images of my kids; growing, laughing, playing, being….they’ve gotten so big and I feel like I’m letting it pass. I have the ability to freeze time, to document these days that go by so fast, yet I get so caught up in the work of it all that I don’t think to grab a lens when it’s just us. That will change. This year I am shooting in London, New York, LA, and probably all stops in between, but I’ll also be shooting at home as much as possible. I won’t apologise, but I will warn you all that these little faces will be on the blog a lot more if all goes according to my master plans.
Today the dogs decided they were done with our lollygagging about and prompted us to all get out for a much needed walk along Dallas Road: at the last second I grabbed the Canon. Here’s what I caught, just a little slice of time and hopefully the first of a long series of work.
