The streets are filled with fashion.

Yesterday I got to go and play with some fabulous fashions from one of my favourite designers, Michal Negrin. If you haven’t heard of her yet, do your research and seek her out wherever you are. Her boudoir inspired creations are the height of beautiful and I have been aching to get them in front of the lens for a long time now. I also really wanted to work with Keiko, the gorgeous model featured below, as well as her beau, Caleb, who may just be one of the most photogenic people I’ve ever gotten to shoot. The stars aligned and everyone’s schedules fit – we even got a FABULOUS top hat loaned to us from Roberta’s Hats, a local Victoria shop. With designs like these I knew we needed a vintage yet modern look that capitalised on feminine details yet suited the current cuts of the clothes. The colour palate was another key component here: the beautiful styling by Michal Negrin shop owner Maya layered rusts and greys throughout the ensembles, and the streets of Victoria gave us the perfect backdrops of brick, ivy and vintage paint tones. This could be my favourite shoot to date…until the next one…

Great images, Danielle – I’m always slightly nervous when I produce black and white shots against foliage, but you’ve inspired me here. And all the work is gorgeous as always. LOVE IT. xReplyCancel
