Ok, I have to admit that life right now pretty much ROCKS! Last week I went straight from London to New York in order to attend a food photography workshop by the amazing Penny de los Santos (if you don’t know her work – learn…now). Before going I was so excited about diving into the food scene here, but by the time I arrived in the Big Apple my head was so full of the street scene that it was hard to focus on anything else. I met my friend and fellow workshop-er Paola (of the amazing style blog MirrorMirror) the day before Penny’s class and for over 6 hours we explored the southern end of Manhattan together. What follows is a rambling collection of images with no theme or sequence: from the High Line walk to the streets of SoHo to the the infamous ABC Kitchen to the frozen expanse of Union Square, this is simply some of what I saw.
In the end the workshop was brilliant and the contacts made were invaluable, but it’s the streets of New York that have stayed with me. I’ll be back again soon.
